Geopolitics

Geopolitics is the study of the effects of geography on international politics and international relations. It examines how geographic factors such as location, resources, and physical terrain influence political behavior, power dynamics, and global interactions among nations. Geopolitics considers both physical geography—like borders, climate, and natural resources—and human geography, including population distribution, culture, and economic activities. The term often encompasses strategic considerations, such as military positioning, trade routes, and resource access, and it looks at how these considerations affect national strategy and foreign policy. In essence, geopolitics analyzes the interplay between geographic realities and political actions on the world stage.
